Hi, I am Rachel Edwards. I live in Costa Rica with my amazing, tico husband and our two dogs, Barry Weiss (schnauzer) and Apolo (bulldog). I am all about the arts and crafts; I love finding new projects and making them up as I go adding some of my own touches. Painting, drawing, sewing, quilting, jewelry, wood making, and decorating are a few of my favorites. My hope is that this blog will inspire you by giving you some tips and tutorials to create your own arts and crafts!

>> I go to the beach, the ocean is the sharks house.
>> My husband is my best friend. We met 9 years ago and have been married for 1 year.
>> I went to Grace College and graduated with a degree in drawing and painting.
>> I am an organized pack-rat and have just about anything you could be looking for.
>> I am addicted to pinterest and finding new DIY projects.
>> I am a morning person, ready to go by 5am.
>> I teach art at a small Christian school for 1st -10th grade and love it.
>> I find painting to be therapeutic and relaxing.
>> I don't go a day without telling my husband I love him.
>> My weekly goal is to create beautiful things and inspire others.
>> My hair is so long a few of my students started calling me Rapunzel.
>> I am a heels kind of girl, but not while I'm teaching.
>> I was a competitive soccer player back in the day.
>> I have three scars on my head caused by unfortunate events, which make for good stories.
>> I'm addicted to gallo pinto (a typical Costa Rican breakfast) and sushi.
>> Cheese is my weakness, give me gouda and I'm happy.
>> I'm half dutch and as my grandpa would say "If you'r not dutch, your not much."
>> I make a mean banana cream pie (but I'm not a fan).

>> My dream car was a VW bug, till I got one that was a dud.
